みなさんは、好きな きっさてんが ありますか。
わたしが 好きな きっさてんは、おいしい 飲みものも、ケーキも あります。そこは 家から 少し とおい ところに あります。あるいて 30分ぐらい かかります。バスも ありますが、あまり バスが とおらないので、たいてい 歩いて 行きます。
その きっさてんの 中には、きれいな 茶色の ソファーが あります。かべの 色は 青で、とても きれいです。たくさんの 人が 来て、そこで 話したり、本を 読んだり します。しずかで、明るい ばしょです。
わたしは 土よう日の ゆうがた、よく そこへ 行きます。わたしの むすめの ようこ、ようこの 友だちの ナナちゃん、ナナちゃんの お母さんの マリアさんと いっしょに、きっさてんの 前で 待ちあわせを します。そこで たいてい わたしは カプチーノを 飲みます。とても あたたかくて、おいしいです。時どき、チーズケーキも 食べます。マリアさんは いつも ココアを 飲みます。子どもたちは、おなかが あまり 空いていない時は、トーストだけ 食べます。おなかが 空いている時は、ケーキも 食べます。そして いつも さくらんぼのジュースを 飲みます。赤くて、おいしそうです。

Do you have a favorite café?
The café I like has both delicious drinks and cakes. It’s a little far from my house—about a 30-minute walk. There’s also a bus, but since buses don’t come very often, we usually walk there.
Inside the café, there is a beautiful brown sofa. The walls are blue, and it’s very pretty. Many people come to chat or read books. It’s a quiet and bright place.
I often go there together with my daughter Yoko on Saturday evenings. I meet up in front of the café with Yoko’s friend Nana and Nana’s mom, Maria. I usually drink a cappuccino there. It’s very warm and tasty. Sometimes, I also eat cheesecake. Maria always drinks cocoa.
When the kids aren’t very hungry, they just eat toast. When they are hungry, they eat cake too. And they always drink cherry juice—it’s red and looks delicious.
